The medium is a mix of Mustard and soy sauce print. The piece has the horses creating movement in the back ground and the horses also create a pattern and unity with the mustard at the races. Who does not like mustard on their hotdog or hamburger at the races. the mustard forms a mustard bottle and there is a hotdog in the bottle in the negative space in the middle of the mustard bottle.
So Good James! The variation in soy density through the horses gives them a lot of movement- they feel really ephemeral. The warm tones of the soy sauce paired with the mustard gives the whole image a warm, earthy tone. The mustard bottle with the hot dog silhouette is really clever, and the textural contrast between the soy and mustard is really interesting. Nice work.
